Energy Compliance Consulting announces its
2010 Electric Quarterly Reports Training Conference
May 13-14, 2010 in Phoenix, AZ

Energy Compliance Consulting will be holding its second annual FERC Electric Quarterly Report training conference on May 13 and 14, 2010, at the Doubletree Guest Suites in Phoenix, AZ.  Barbara Bourque, the leading expert on EQRs, will lead the sessions.  Barbara developed and implemented the EQR software at FERC and managed the Commission’s EQR program for several years before joining the private sector.  She has trained over 100 EQR filers at dozens of companies.

The program will cover all aspects of correctly completing and filing EQRs.  It will begin with a discussion of the history and reasons for the EQR, and work through the entire EQR preparation, review and submission process, including manual data entry and importing data, dealing with error messages, and ensuring that filings are complete and correct.  It will address not only the mechanics, but also include a full discussion of how to ensure that your company’s data complies with all of FERC’s requirements. In addition, Barb will share trouble-shooting tips and filing and review strategies.  She will also give advice that may make your EQRs less likely to be audited by FERC.  Participants can submit questions prior to the conference or ask them during the session as time permits.  A comprehensive filing manual will be given to all attendees.  While ideal for relatively new filers, even those more seasoned may be surprised by the amount they learn.

Because there are flights to Phoenix from most US cities arriving by noon, the conference will start at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 13th and end at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 14th.  The hotel is very close to the airport, and a free shuttle is provided for hotel guests.  A block of guest suites has been reserved for the conference at the special rate of $109 per night.  Ask for the EQR Training Conference rate when reserving your suite.  For more information on the accommodations, please see

The cost of the training class is $695, with a $70 discount for registration by April 23rd.  For companies sending multiple employees, a 10% discount is given to additional employees from the same company.
