Energy Compliance Consulting announces an
Electric Quarterly Report Training Conference
December 13, 2012, in Washington, DC

Energy Compliance Consulting will be holding a FERC Electric Quarterly Report training conference at the Doubletree Hotel in Washington, DC on December 13, 2013, the day after FERC’s EQR Technical Conference.  Barbara Bourque, the leading expert on EQRs, will lead the sessions.  Barbara developed and implemented the EQR software at FERC and managed the Commission’s EQR program for several years before joining the private sector.  She has trained over 400 EQR filers from more than 250 companies.  For more information about the Energy Compliance Consulting’s EQR conferences, see the conference web page.  This training conference will be especially useful for new EQR filers.

The program will cover all aspects of correctly completing and filing EQRs and will address the changes ordered by FERC in RM10-12 and RM12-3.  We will begin with a brief discussion of the history and reasons for the EQR, and work through the entire EQR preparation, review and submission process to ensure that filings are complete and correct.  The training will address not only the mechanics, but also include a full discussion of how to ensure that your utilities’ filings comply with all of FERC’s requirements.  In addition, Barb will share trouble-shooting tips and filing and review strategies.  See complete agenda and schedule.  Participants can submit questions prior to the conference or ask them during the sessions as time permits.  A comprehensive filing manual will be given to all attendees.  While this session is aimed at new filers, even those more seasoned QR filers may be surprised by the amount they learn.

The conference will start at 8:30 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13th (registration and continental breakfast will begin at 8:00).  A block of guest rooms at the Doubletree Hotel at 1515 Rhode Island Avenue, NW has been reserved for the conference at the special rate of $199 per night.  Call the DoubleTree Reservations Department at 1-800-492-5195.  When making the reservation, ask for the EQR Training Rate.  Attendees must reserve on or before the cut-off date of November 30, 2012, in order to receive the group rate.  Because folks attending the conference will also be attending the FERC Tech Conference, the hotel rate is good from 12/11/12 through 12/14/12.

The cost of the training class is $650, with a $50 discount for registration by November 30, 2012.

A special $150 government discount will be given to employees of non-jurisdictional utilities.  For entities sending multiple employees, a 10% discount is given to additional employees from the same utility.  Organizations considering sending multiple employees may inquire about having training given onsite at their location.  It may be more cost-effective and the training can be customized to focus on relevant areas, and issues can be raised confidentially.
