FERC issued Order 917 in RM23-9 on March 19, 2026

On April 2, in advance of the rehearing request filing deadline, there will be a conference call to go over (briefly) what was in Order 917. Click here for more info and to register.

On May 5-6, Energy Compliance Consulting will provide detailed training (virtually) on the current EQR requirements and touch on the upcoming content changes.

Once FERC has settled on filing protocols, published the taxonomies, and provided complete information about the revised XBRL filing process, Energy Compliance Consulting will hold an in-person EQR Training Conference (the first in person since Covid!) to go over the new requirements and revised filing format in painful detail.

EQR RM23-9 Final Rule, Order 917, Call
April 2, 2026

I will be holding a Zoom call at noon EDT on Thursday, April 2, 2026, to address what Order 917 says and to discuss concerns about the Final Rule. I will go over all the changes that have been ordered by FERC. I will let you know which changes I find problematic, and we can talk about those concerns and the concerns of the folks on the call. I’ll start the session with a PowerPoint presentation going over the details (including potential problems and timing) and then we can have a dialogue about questions and concerns of everyone participating. I suspect that the call will take about two hours, but I will stay on the call as long as participants have questions or comments. I plan on filing a request for clarification at FERC and will try to incorporate the concerns of callers into my comments.

The cost of the call will be $249 for the first participant from a utility; additional callers from the same utility will be $95 each. You can register below. I will send all registrants a copy of my slides and the dial-in info the day before the call.
